The potential use of AI to enhance the learning system
FREMONT, CA: Students can also engage in AI through its digital, dynamic nature in a way that cannot be achieved through outdated textbooks or in the fixed classroom environment. Their synergistic relationship enables them to propel each other forward and accelerate the discovery of new learning frontiers and the development of innovative technologies. These observations are explored in more detail in our AI Future Scape series, which examines how business and government leaders of tomorrow will be trained in AI practices and thus be able to shape AI's future.
Potential benefits of AI in education
Personalization: One of the most significant trends in education is personalization. Students now have a customized approach to learning programs based on their specific experiences and preferences for the application of AI.
Tutoring: Although it is typical for kids to need extra assistance outside the classroom, many teachers do not have the time to aid children after school. In these situations, AI instructors and Chatbots are the ideal options.
Meaningful and immediate feedback to students: Nothing is more annoying than asking a question and getting a response three days later. Daily, teachers, and staff are frequently barraged with the same queries. AI can quickly provide solutions to students' most commonly asked questions through support automation and conversational intelligence.
Anytime access to learning: All students may learn anytime, anywhere, because of AI-powered tools. Every kid learns at their rate, and having access to resources around the clock makes it simpler to figure out what suits them without waiting for a teacher.
Meaningful and intimate feedback for students: Some students feel bashful about giving feedback about taking risks and receiving critical feedback in the classroom. With AI, students can feel more comfortable giving feedback.
Creating new learning pathways in the next decade: It has taken a while for the integration of AI to develop the necessary human-like attributes of responsiveness, adaptability, and understanding in the education domain. The inherent strengths of AI can, however, be applied to fill "gaps" in learning and teaching that are in high demand.
Examples of AI in education
Adaptive learning: Used to develop a guided educational experience that helps students become successful while teaching basic and advanced skills to pupils by evaluating their current ability level.
Assistive technology: AI can provide equal educational access for individuals with specific needs, for instance, by reading passages to a visually impaired student.
Early childhood education: AI today powers interactive games that teach youngsters fundamental academic skills.
Learning environments with virtual guides and facilitators: Various educational and therapeutic environments with virtual guides and facilitators.
It is not difficult to see a growing consensus that the extraordinary range of current and future benefits will win out over the concerns about depersonalization and ethical considerations cited above in the debate about deploying AI technology in education.
